Ophelia.
Name | Ophelia Lauren Hayes
Nicknames | Wren
Sex | Female
Orientation | Homosexual
Birthday | August 9th
Appearance | Ophelia is lean, angular, and streamlined. Her facial structure is graceful and has somewhat of an old-fashioned regal appearance. True to her Irish-American roots, Ophelia has an abundance of freckles and naturally wavy, auburn hair that she prefers to keep long and tie back. Long, slender fingers aid in her ability to play the piano. She has a very dainty, poised posture (people notice) that's part natural and part trained. She's occasionally seen with simple jewelry.
///
Ophelia is a mix between a shorthaired pointer and a red heeler, inheriting the narrow build of the pointer with the fur of the heeler. Her colors are warm mottled reds and tans broken up by light cream, overall somewhat a mix between the blocked patches of the pointer with some spotting common on both. The fur around her neck is especially thick and telling of a heeler.
Note for artists: Ophelia and Maisy are an attempt to get me into drawing humans, so they have dual human/feral designs. They're not shape-shifters/should not be drawn in an anthropomorphic style.
Disposition | If you asked her to describe herself in three words, Ophelia would most likely laugh nervously and respond, "what is this, a middle school icebreaker?" A lot of Ophelia's interactions with others are interspersed with nervous laughter, actually. She may be less sure of herself than many and she may pretend she's good at hiding it (she isn't), but because of her tendency to hold herself back, she's managed to enter this new level of social passivity. To most, she comes off as incredibly easygoing and mild- this leads to her being often labeled as naive, which is far from the truth. Despite her amiable demeanor, Ophelia is very emotionally intelligent and has a gift for perception of others. Perhaps stemming from her preference to observe rather than lead, she often takes others off guard by her ability to truly connect with them when given the chance.
Unfortunately, this social complacency can lead to some serious relationship issues- Wren rarely incites or carries through on confrontation or critical communication. She's horrible with conflict not because she is incapable of defending herself but simply because she doesn't often feel the need to, much preferring an easy (yet immature) loss if it's what restores the peace. Maisy is one of the very few people who is able to coerce her to truly open up and stand up for herself, but not without serious effort. This is where her tendency to somehow be both outwardly selfless and internally selfish appears- her actions are often motivated by herself, even though she may put up a front as doing them for others- such as choosing not to put energy into compromise.
Despite this, her honesty shows in almost everything she does. She strives to be honest to herself, as she is skilled at acknowledging but not accepting her flaws (one of the few things she actively attempts to fight); in addition, she is incredibly honest to others, which is where her observational expertise comes in handy. She truly believes there is good in everyone and does her best to bring it out. Ophelia is not a perfect person, but her genuine character shines in both her shortcomings and her strengths.
Miscellaneous notes |
• Quiet when angry, draws into herself
• Alcohol gives her the confidence she otherwise lacks (Maisy loves it but also gets jealous when Wren gets touchy with others)
• Very dainty, poised posture. People notice it
• Calculated, deliberate vocabulary- very articulate
• Plays piano and cello
